About Us
As the Brooklyn College Speech and Debate Team, we compete in collegiate forensics (speech and debate) competitions to improve our communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Our passion is to raise up and inspire a generation of students who will be passionate and empowered public speakers. Our debating members engage in various topics ranging from domestic to international political issues. Our interp speakers engage in dramatic interpretation, spoken poetry, and duo performances, to name just a few. We are a well recognized and competitive team, but we welcome ALL new and veteran public speakers. All we ask is you be curious, hard-working, and ready to learn more about what it means to be a public speaker.
